The last week has consisted mostly of:

a) studying
b) listening to otome CDs (ヤンデレ天国, DiABOLiK LOVERS, and 雨枕)
c) funding various webcomic kickstarters (sfeer theory, namesake, and plume)
d) hanging out with [personal profile] touwa and [personal profile] sannin / being referred to as jackie chan
e) working on bcm on and off
f) mass effect

I need to really step up my work on chapter four for BCM. D: I've finished the basic outline, but I haven't written much past the two sentences I cranked out the other day. Need to just find a good quiet moment and write. It should be a bit easier now that I have curtains and am not blinded half the day. XD I really want to try and put a good effort into it tomorrow before I hunker down for my first Genetics exam.

I really shouldn't be wanting to write fic/backstory crap for my Mass Effect MC and *cough* Garrus, but dammit, I really want to. D: I don't even know who would read it, I just want to get it out. Maybe if I just write some notes, my crazy creative mind will be satisfied. XD; I really don't have time for fanworks these days. I have a backlog of stuff I need to write for Amber's Magic Shop, too. Stupid visual novels.

Even though we're not reading it until later in the semester, I've been skimming through Geek Love and really enjoy it? It's messed up beyond all reason but I really like the Arturo/Olympia (or Arty and Oly) relationship dynamics. I probably shouldn't ship it, but I kind of do. I do understand why it had to end the way it did, though. The rest of my books got here safely and are sitting in a stack on my desk. I can't fathom reading all of them (especially Kraken, which is ~600 pages) in one semester, but we'll see how it goes. @_@ I'm a little disappointed by the lack of real fantasy, though. I thought the class would cover some more high fantasy kinds of stuff, but the majority of what we're reading is sci-fi. The most fantasy things on the list are Lavinia (which is really more like historical fiction) and Dracula. :| Not looking forward to that. I'm definitely not a Twilight fan by any means, but I'm definitely used to the Anne Rice vampires more than anything. ^^; Lestat was a sexy vampire way before Edward was even a twinkle in Stephenie Meyer's eye. Lavinia does sound interesting, though. Also I'm very happy that we're not reading Frankenstein. I only ever got through 1/3rd of the book when we were supposed to read it in my senior year of high school (yet I somehow still got an A on the unit test LMFAO yay for Sparknotes) and really don't want to revisit that. D:

We've got a Tết party later err today, which should be fun. Ehh I guess I should call the holiday Lunar New Year? Calling it "Chinese New Year" leaves a bad taste in my mouth since I'm not Chinese, lol. Tết is way easier to say and it's only three letters long. '3' I can't think of much else to say right now, so I'll leave it at this. /o/ Hope you all are doing alright.

I did this male seiyuu ranking meme again to see how things have changed since September. Apparently a LOT has changed... In parentheses is that seiyuu's original ranking, if applicable/important/etc.

under the cut~ )
